December 2015 Showcase- Read it Now!

December 02, 2015

Our December 2015 Showcase has been sent to those on our mailing list, and can now be viewed online. Highlights in this issue include miniature maps from the Atlas Minor of Gerard Mercator and Jodocus Hondius, as well as highly detailed and embellished maps of South America from Arnoldus Montanus' 1671 De Nieuwe en Onbekende Weerld. Charming 18th and 19th century engravings of Rome are featured next to an early three-color lithographic view of San Francisco. Scenes from Eastman's The American Aboriginal Portfolio and portraits from McKenney and Hall's octavo edition of The History of the Indian Tribes of North America can be found on pages 10- 11. Genre, sporting scenes, including two great golf prints, and natural history illustrations of creatures and plants showcase the wide variety of antique prints we offer. We finished the catalog with prints from our current gallery exhibit, Mixed Winter Show, a showcase of fine art prints from 20th century and contemporary American printmakers.

Published in both traditional and digital media forms, we are now able to share our fantastic collection in a whole new way.  To receive the next Old Print Gallery Showcase, just send us your mailing information, via email at
